| Comments | Hi, I'm new to this site. I would like to go to Alaska (been to 40 countries but never Alaska, go figure). I want to go this summer so as not to have to wait until next year. I thought the inner passage with maybe some extra time on either end, but that is not written in stone. I do want to hear the calving. I pack very light, don't smoke. I also want to travel to Africa, Panama, Easter Island and anywhere else that sounds interesting. I'm flexible, very active, and am frugal. I do my homework and hope my "buddy" travelers do the same. I am going to Japan in October, and have visas for Australia for a trip that was cancelled. I don't think it's all that safe to travel completely alone but I do it and am fine with it. Cruising is OK if the ports of call are varied as I don't gamble, drink to excess, or think sitting at the beach or pool is important. It's all about museums, culture and people. I live in Florida and travel year round. |
